PostDoc opportunity: Turtle Biome Project in Zagreb (Croatia)

We are looking for candidates to fill a postdoc position that is fully funded for two years (48 months) on the project TurtleBIOME (for more information visit http://www.turtlebiome.biol.pmf.hr/ and associated social networks sites) that explores surface (carapace and skin) and endozoic microbiota of loggerhead sea turtles in the Mediterranean Sea, starting Jan/Feb 2020 at Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, Croatia.

The appropriate candidate should have a research experience in isolation and establishment of cultures of microorganisms and their molecular and morphological characterization (bacteria, cyanobacteria, diatoms or fungi), metagenomic analyses of microbial communities, laboratory skills in the field of molecular biology and microscopy, field research experience, bioinformatics analyses of metagenomic data, knowledge of working in operating system Linux and the software package "R" and the knowledge of English in speech and writing.

The detail in the published call that “Foreign citizens should provide evidence of the knowledge of the Croatian language” has been removed from the call specifications, so only knowledge of English language is required.
